There’s just something intresting and exciting about the pursuit. Have you ever wondered why that’s so? I was recalling the other day, when I was a child I couldn’t wait till Friday night to watch the Dukes of Hazard. Every weekend was filled with expectancy to see what was going to happen as Boss Hog would chase the Duke boys all over Hazard County. Their pursuit was based on the fact that Boss Hog didn’t like the Dukes. The Duke boys always knew that Boss Hog was up to no good, and they were on a mission every week to stop Boss & Roscoe from accomplishing their crazy schemes.

The chase was exciting and full of adventure. That seems to be the case in many of our lives today. We set out to live our lives and make the right choices. Many of our choices are good while at other times they seem to not make much sense. God fires up His engine of love and comes after us in hot pursuit. He looks to help us in our scheme of things or to stop us from making poor choices that could effect our life or others. While we may be running from Him to chase our ways, He passionately speeds up to run us down to get us in His ways. We make a sharp left and try to out run Him or we try to hide in the brush to avoid Him, but He sniffs us out because He wasn’t never too far behind to see where we went.

You can’t out run this love, nor can you hide from His unfailing presence. God seeks after His own with a desire to arrest your life with power, peace, and joy. If today you think that you can out-run God, you have sadly mistaken the power under His hood. He’s fast and persistant. He never gives up and that makes this life so exciting. Everyday theres a new episode of the chase. Let God catch you today, let Him embrace you and fill you with His love.

Have you ever thought about why it is, that you pursue God? Have you ever wondered why He pursues you? In this series, I’m intrigued on, “Why is it that most of us follow after Christ?” The people I talk to on a daily basis tend to have many answers and they vary. Most people who follow Christ will give you this popular response, “He died for my sins.” The greatest repsonse ever!!!! It’s true many of us understand that the cross, the resurrection, and the love of Jesus is the anchor for our salvation.

Do you know that many people everyday have different motives for their pursuit of Christ? Some are pursuing Him for earthly riches, some are looking for physical healing, others healing over bad relationships, or to make the next right friend connections. All of these are good, but what if our pursuit has got a little off the beaten path? Check this series out and logged onto my blog for the next month and lets share about what really drives our pursuit in Christ. I cant wait to teach this..
